TDS TransitionManager™ V3.0 |
On September 30th, at AFCOM’s fall 2013 Data Center World show in Orlando, Florida, TDS announced the release of TDS TransitionManager 3.0. Updates to TransitionManager include improved dependency analysis, automation of Runbook generation, enhanced real-time executive dashboards and extended asset management features.TransitionManager 3.0 enables enhanced migration analysis and planning with new features such as interactive dependency maps, which allows IT management and business experts to quickly understand the relationships between applications, servers, databases, storage and other IT assets in a graphical format. Automated creation of move-day Runbooks, with intelligent resource leveling, dramatically increases the efficiency of both planning and executing data center migrations. In addition, room and rack layouts now provide enhanced capacity planning capabilities, such as rack and room level space and power utilization tracking and reporting. The SaaS-based application integrates mobile devices on the data center floor with extensive customized command and control capabilities and executive dashboards to deliver real-time move-day status.“As today’s data center becomes an increasing mix of interconnected applications, the new features of TransitionManager 3.0 help enterprises adapt to the new normal of accelerated change in the virtual data center, the flexible, graphical representations of data and automation of Runbooks make for efficient, thorough planning.
